I found an old 3 speed bike on craigslist and cleaned it up for some morning and evening exercise. Below is a video from a recent ride through a local park and bike path. The camera took a lot of shock from the front wheel (what with being firmly mounted on the handlebars). I’ll figure out a way of cushioning the camera on future rides so that the videos appear smoother.

Looks like a nice ride! I’ve heard that the video is smoother if you mount to the frame. I don’t have any personal experience with that, however.
I just bought a 1980 3-speed sea trail model from craigslist and want to preserve it/restore it. It’s full of rust and am thinking of changing some parts… Where and how do you find parts to change to the bicycle? The paint on mine is horrible… what do you recommend?
Eve- Your Huffy Sea Trails is a Made-in-USA bicycle. Made in Dayton Ohio (my bike is a Made-in-England Huffy by Raleigh, 1955, a completely different bike from yours). Parts for your bike should be readily available from an older, established bike shop that maintains parts bins gathered from older bikes. Some cities/towns have a bicycle cooperative (they have some rented space, tools and volunteers that help folks learn bike repair & restoration). For refinishing, you can DIY with sandpaper and spray paint or, you could go to the expense of having the frame, chainguard and fenders sandblasted (they’re calling this ‘media blasting’ these days) and electrostatically painted. It’s costly. There’s a great group of 3-speed fans on flickr.com: http://www.flickr.com/groups/3speedbikes/ (take some pics and post ‘em on this group… ask questions). You might also Google ‘Huffy Sea Trails’ and click ‘Images’. You might find others who own and enjoy Sea Trails and have worked on them. Good luck and have fun with your new old bike!
